All registrars and resellers members of the association must abide by this charter in order to be labeled .tel.
Thus, they must:
- Offer a secure, online payment
- Offer a hotline, possibly over-the-phone
- In case of a legal dispute, do everything they can to settle it within the legal boundaries of intellectual property.
- Integrate their domain names within a global directory
- Try to structure as much as they can the development of .tel services
The goal of the association is to make sure .tel services are being developed, and to optimize the distribution of domain names.
